SCHOLARSHIPS – 2008
On the 21st of
April, the Executive Board reviewed all applications
submitted by those seeking a $1,000.00 college/university
scholarship from this Association. There was a
considerable amount of discussion on all applicants with
the bulk being awarded to those seeking a law enforcement
career or one that closely resembles what may be expected
from a law enforcement officer.
The Association did not receive as much money from the
appeal sent to the Honorary Members last fall. That
appeal as you know, focuses on the scholarship program with
all proceeds earmarked for scholarships as well as the
associated costs such as mailing, postage fees etc.
Twenty-four (24) Scholarship applications were
approved. The name of the individual and the county
